Most dogs protect their owners. That's not anything special. But to have a dog who hated violence regardless of who its against, now that's something special. And that was Spykey. He hated any roughhousing/poking/hitting. (It was Chris who was doing most of this) His high shrill bark would be his way of saying, "STOP! NO VIOLENCE IN THIS HOUSE!."I never had a dog growing up, and while I have two now, I always thought of spykey as a first for pet for me, even though I only saw him on weekends and the occasional trip to Germany. He was my bunk buddy while I stayed in Spokane briefly before heading to UW. (Little did I know I would return to Spokomton later in life.) I didn't think a little dog could hog a blow up twin mattress, but Spike insisted that he lay right next to me and block any movement I may have wanted. He was the only dog that could rock a tiny bow like a champ... He was a good dog, and he will be missed.
